Erik Ulwick

Erik J. Ulwick, 28, of Salem, formerly of Wakefield, died on Friday, November 13 in Rhode Island.

Born in Melrose on April 12, 1981 he was the son of Wayne R. and Diane E. (Renaud) Ulwick of Wolfeboro, NH formerly of Wakefield.

Erik was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1999. While in High School he had played football and was a member of the National Honor Society. Erik was currently a Captain on the Melrose Fire Department. He had been a Salem resident for the past 4 years. Erik had been a member of the Danvers Fish and Game club and had enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother Wayne R. Ulwick Jr. of Newburyport.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erik J. Ulwick Memorial Fund c/o The Savings Bank, 357 Main St, Wakefield, MA 01880.
