Richard Silva

Richard J. Silva, 74, of Stoneham, died on Sunday, April 4 at his residence.

Born in Cambridge on December 26, 1935 he was the son of the late Michael and Tilda Silva.

Richard was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in East Cambridge and Wentworth Institute. He had worked for Lechmere for 30 years as a Loss Prevention Manager before his retirement.

Richard was a member of St. Patrick parish in Stoneham and also St. Michael's Club of East Cambridge.

Mr. Silva was the husband of Patricia A. (Janko) Silva. He was the father of Richard J. Silva, Jr. of Cambridge, Julie A. Silva of Duxbury, Michael B. Silva of San Francisco, CA, and Karen Silva-Brown and her husband Francis of Haverhill. He was the brother of David Silva of Stoneham, Ann Marie Dewey of Manchester, NH, Elaine Harper of Brockton, Roseann Andersen of Chelmsford, and the late Gloria Muolo, Helen Cavallo, Robert Silva and Loretta LaChance. He was the grandfather of Kacy P. Cameron and Kaelyn D. Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be a t St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
