Accurzia Marino

Accurzia F. "Lucy" Marino, 88, of Lynnfield and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida formerly of Revere died on Sunday, September 30 at her home.

Born in Boston on July 13, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Cologero and Accurzia (Ciulla) Piazza.

Mrs. Marino had been a Lynnfield resident for the past 32 years. She was a graduate of English Latin High School in Boston. Mrs. Marino was a member of the Thomson Country Club in North Reading and Lynn Italian Community Club. She had volunteered at the Lynnfield Senior Center and My Brother's Table.

Mrs. Marino was the wife of the late Lawrence Marino. She is survived by her son Frank J. Marino and his wife Mary Margot of Plymouth, her daughter Maria Palermo and her husband Richard of Lynnfield and her brother Stephen Piazza of Peabody. Mrs. Marino is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and her 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two brothers; Ignazio and Agostino Piazza and her sister Jenny Piazza.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St, Lynnfield on Saturday at 9am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Maria Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield, MA 01940.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
