Ada Nardone, 87, of Miami Beach, Florida, formerly of Wakefield died suddenly on Thursday, October 8th.

Born in Melrose on November 6, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Holmes and Fanny (Leventhal) Holmes.

She loved and enjoyed her life with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always on the go – mostly seen walking the beach of Nantasket Beach or Miami Beach. Her favorite past time was clipping coupons and bargain shopping, sharing them with family and friends.

She was the widow of Joseph P. Nardone Jr. and the mother of seven sons,
Joseph Nardone III and friend Nan Johnson of DelRay Beach, Fl, John Nardone and his wife Ouida, Michael Nardone, Richard Nardone and his wife Gail, Peter Nardone and his wife Carol, Stephen Nardone and his wife Donna, Jeffrey Nardone and his wife Susan all of Wakefield, and daughter Linda Turner of Rumney, N.H. She leaves behind her sister Charlotte Wienick of FL, brother Irving Holmes of FL and brother George Holmes of FL and the late Dorothy Cheitman. Her 23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren knew her as Grammy from Miami. Also, survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her close friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009
at the Crystal Community Club, 98 Preston Street, Wakefield, Ma
from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to join us at the Crystal Community Club. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to:
