Albert J. Boutchia, 69, of Medford died on Friday at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Boston on September 7, 1943, he was the son of the late Albert A. and Margaret E. (Walsh) Boutchia.

Mr. Boutchia had been a resident of Medford for the past 43 years. He was a graduate of North Cambridge Catholic High School, Class of 1961 and Northeastern University. Mr. Boutchia was a retired application developer for the Boston Public Schools. He was a Vietnam Air Force Veteran.

Mr. Boutchia was the loving husband of Lucille M. (Bono). Devoted father of Maryann Collyer and her husband Christopher of Wakefield and Paul A. Boutchia and his wife Virginia of Melrose. Beloved grandfather of Emily & Abigail Boutchia and Shannon & Allison Collyer.

Funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1500 Washington St., Boston, MA 02115
