Allston Farnsworth

Allston V . Farnsworth , 91, a longtime Lynnfield resident, died Friday, April 11 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. Born in Shirley, MA on January 30, 1923, he was the son of the late Edward A. & Edith L. (Wright) Farnsworth .

Mr. Farnsworth was a graduate of Ayer High School and was retired from the General Electric Corporation of Lynn. He was a W.W. II Veteran and served with the United States Marine Corp as a pilot. He served in the South Pacific where he participated in action in the Philippines and Solomon Islands. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Lynnfield, Shriners of Wilmington and an active member of the Centre Congregational Church of Lynnfield, where he had been a resident for 49 years.

Mr. Farnsworth was the beloved husband of Josephine V . (Zielinski) Farnsworth . He was the brother of the late Roy Farnsworth and Eleanor Gaudette.

His funeral service will be held in the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield on Wednesday, April 16 at 11am. Friends are invited to attend. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
