Altona Gallagher

Altona F. Gallagher, 90, of Daytona Beach, Fla., passed away at the Horizon Health Care in Daytona Beach on Friday, June 27.

Born in Fitchburg on Oct. 3, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Marten) Casey.

Mrs. Gallagher was a former member of St. Patrick Parish in Stoneham and had worked for the Polaroid Corp. for over 30 years. She had also helped to organize many of the Senior Dances at the Elks Lodge in Wakefield.

Mrs. Gallagher was the wife of the late Thomas J. Gallagher. She was the sister of Thomas Casey and Elizabeth Sullivan both of Fla. and the late Stanley Casey, Margaret Clinton and Marion Kercher. Altona is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald – Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. in Stoneham on Wed at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 o'clock.

Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
