Alvarino J. Crivello, 86, a Wakefield resident for over 30 years died on Wednesday, October 30 at the EN Rogers VA Hospital in Bedford.
Born in Medford on August 1, 1926 he was the son of the late Manuel J. and Angelina (Santoe) Crivello.
Mr. Crivello was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1944. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Crivello was a retired truck driver for Wakefield Ready Mix.
He was the husband of Ruth M. (Silliker). He was the father of Sandy Zarella of N. Providence, RI and stepfather of Deborah Houghton and Jill Treacy, both of Wakefield, Susan Donaldson and Jeffrey Donaldson, both of N. Reading and Charles Donaldson of Quincy. He was the brother of Louisa Lester of FL and the grandfather of Nicole, Valerie, Samantha and Robert. He is also survived by 14 step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A Visitation for relatives and friend will be held at the funeral home on Friday from4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
