Amanda Markey

Amanda J. Markey, 93 of Medford died Sunday June 10 in Danvers. Born in Boston on June 25, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Virginia (Assante) Martini. Mrs. Markey was raised in Boston and Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School . She was a retired purchasing agent for the E.P.A.

Mrs. Markey was the wife of the late Albert J. Markey. She is survived by her son Ernest J. Markey and his wife Josephine of Lynnfield and her grandson Joseph Markey. She was the sister of the late Fay Zarella, Eleanor Reppucci and Antoinette Querze. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Wednesday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Maria Goretti Church 112 Chestnut St. Lynnfield at 10:00. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday 4-8pm. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
