Amelina Scippa , 86, of Topsfield and formerly of Revere died Saturday, January 10 in Danvers. Mrs. Scippa was born in Italy on March 9, 1928 and was the beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and Linda (Capodanno) Iapicca. Mrs. Scippa was raised in her native Italy and later made her home in Venezuela for several years. She came to the United States in 1970 and briefly lived in East Boston before moving to Revere. She was retired from the Gillette Company of South Boston.
Mrs. Scippa was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Scippa . She was the loving mother of Linda and Rocco Scippa of Topsfield and Pasquale Scippa and his wife Laurel of Stoneham. She was the sister of Rocco Iapicca and wife Gaetana of Reading, Pasquale Iapicca of Peabody, Bernardina Scippa and husband Angelo of Lynnfield , Ivonne and Giaconda Iapicca of Italy and the late Romano, Jimmy, and Adriana Iapicca. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Joseph, Peter and Michael Scippa .
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 to 8pm. Entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Malden.
Mrs. Scippa's family would like to thank the staff of the Hathorne Hill Nursing Center of Danvers for the care their mother received.
