Andrew L . Prive , Jr. 83 of Stoneham died July 2 at his home after a long period of failing health. Born in Woburn, MA on July 30, 1928 the son of the late Andrew L & Mary (Flynn) Prive . Mr. Prive was a life long Stoneham resident and was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in Stoneham. He was a retired Electrician for the M.B.T.A. and was a member of the Local 103 of the I.B.E.W. He was also a member of the Humane Society of MA and St. Patrick Church. He was also a W.W. II veteran and served with the United States Marine Corp.

Mr. Prive is survived by his beloved wife Lorraine E. (LeBlanc). He was the loving father of Kathleen Kennedy & husband Michael of Lynnfield, Jean Gravel of Stoneham, Linda Prive of VT and Michael Prive and his wife Svetlana of Ashby. He was the brother of Brenda LaConti of Lynnfield and the late Barbara Crowley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katelin, Sarah and Michael Kennedy. He is pre-deceased by his grandson Matthew Gravel.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Friday July 6 at 9am to be followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Relatives and friends invited to attend. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the M.S.P.C.A. - Angel Attn. Donation 350 S. Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130 or the Alzheimer's Assoc. 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
