Andrew Orr, Jr.

Andrew S. Orr, Jr., 78, of Lynnfield, formerly of Brockton died on Saturday October 17 at the Union Hospital in Lynn.

Born in Brockton on May 8, 1931 he was the son of the late Andrews S. and Virginia (Emmott) Orr.

Mr. Orr was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School. He was also a graduate of Dartmouth College. He served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Orr was employed by General Electric where he held various positions in GE Finance. His last job was a Manager of the group that provided financial support to Aircraft Engine Manufacturing Plants in the Northeast.

Mr. Orr was the husband of Shirley A. (King). He was the father of Andrew S. Orr, III of Wallingford, PA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, David, Shawn and Analisa.

A memorial service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 11 o'clock. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.
