Angela (Amico) Fell, 106, of Lynnfield, MA died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 28, 2024. She is the widow of the late Hartley Fell, and is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Fell Costa, with whom she resided since 2001. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Hannah Costa, of Melrose MA, Alexander and Tonianne Costa of Delray Beach Florida and Dylan Costa of Nashville Tennessee. Nicknamed “Bam” by her grandson Chris, she became known as Bam by all. She also leaves many loved nieces and nephews.
Angela was born in New York City’s “Little Italy” on June 10, 1918 to the late Salvatore Amico and Grace (Pirelli) Amico. She grew up in Secaucus, New Jersey.
She was pre-deceased by sisters, Mae DeRocco and Sally Ward and brothers, Paul Amico, Joseph Amico and Charles Amico.
Angela was married to the late Hartley Fell for 46 years until his death in 1998. They spent a lifetime together in beautiful Padanaram (South Dartmouth, MA). They belonged to the Country Club of New Bedford and the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth. They travelled frequently and enjoyed their many friends.
Angie loved to read, often reading three books a week, and enjoying the Boston Globe every day. She was a master conversationalist on many subjects, an avid bridge player, a gourmet cook and baker, and had endless friends throughout her life. After moving to Lynnfield at the age of 83, she joined the Lynnfield Senior Center, where she played bridge, and joined her large new group of friends for lunch every day at Christine’s restaurant.
Her greatest pleasures in life were her daughter and grandchildren. She reminded us often. Bam touched so many lives of all ages and walks of life.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield on Friday, August 2 at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lynnfield Public Library, 18 Summer St, Lynnfield, MA 01940.
