In Loving Memory of Angela M. Marcella

With heavy hearts, the family of Angela M. Marcella, 84, of Wakefield, MA, announces her passing. Angela left us peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of those dear to her. Born on April 3, 1940 in Everett, MA. Angela was a devoted wife, having shared 64 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Anthony “Chunny.” They were married in 1961 in Everett, MA. She was a cherished mother to Kimberly Marcella of Wakefield, MA and the late Anthony C. Marcella, III. She was a beloved nana to her grand dog Enzo Anthony. Her spirit and caring nature extended far beyond her immediate family; she was lovingly regarded as a second mother by many.

Chunny and Angela spent many years in Everett, MA raising their family before they moved to Wakefield in 2009. Angela’s roots were deep in her community. She found joy in life’s many passions—from ballroom dancing with her dear husband, to her power walks along Lake Quannapowitt, where she felt most at peace. An avid crafter and a lover of music, she frequently attended concerts , like the Boston Pops or Frankie Vali, with her daughter and was the heart behind her famous Thanksgiving dinners that brought family and friends together year after year.

Angela dedicated many years to her work for the City of Everett as an administrator where her warmth and kindness touched countless lives.

She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony, as well as her parents, Nicholas and Agnes.

Angela’s legacy of love, laughter, and community will forever remain in our hearts.

Her Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, March 25 at 12pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:30am. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
