Angelo Zelandi

Angelo Carlo Zelandi , age 18, of Stoneham died September 26 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Melrose on August 29, 2002 he was the son of Cara A. (Fredriksen) Zelandi and Robert E. Zelandi , both of Stoneham.

In addition to his parents, Angelo is survived by his grandparents, Barbara Ann, David Fredriksen and his wife Susan, and Marie Zelandi; his step-mother, Michelle Pezzulo; his brothers, Robert, Amedeo, and Domenic Zelandi; step-sisters, Ashleigh Ralls and her husband Christopher, Giavanna and Francesca Pezzulo, and Laila Karis; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his "Papa" Robert Zelandi and his uncle Joe Fredriksen.

Angelo was raised and educated in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 2020. He had also attended Newport Academy in California where he was named the school's first ever "Community Leader." Angelo loved all sports including football, but most especially basketball. He loved music and had taught himself to play guitar. He was also an amazingly talented artist, he loved drawing and had recently been teaching himself how to tattoo. Angelo had also spent his youngest years learning chess, quickly becoming unbeatable. Above all things, Angelo will be remembered by all who knew him for his genuine, kind, sweet, and sensitive personality. Every single person who ever knew him loved him.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday from 3-7 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at Lindenwood Cemetery, Montvale Ave., Stoneham on Friday at 12:30pm.

COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect. Those attending visitation should wear a mask and are asked to kindly pay their respects to the family and exit the building to allow for all visitors to greet the family.
