Ann Barbaro, 80, a Stoneham resident for 11 years and formerly of Reading and Melrose died on Friday February 12 at her home.
Born in Winchester on June 2, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Doherty) Meehan.
Mrs. Barbaro was raised in Melrose and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Melrose. She was a retired hairdresser and had been a managing clerk at Walgreens in Stoneham since 1998.
Mrs. Barbaro was the mother of Christine Lazzaro and her husband David of Nahant, James Barbaro of Derry, NH, Carol Ryan and her husband Kevin of Reading, and Constance Mega of Camino, CA. She was the sister of Joseph Meehan of Brewer, ME, Catherine Dunn of Melrose, MaryLou Christopher of Medford, David Meehan of Reading, Maureen Curdo of Hollis, NH, James Meehan of Melrose, Joan Harrington of Wakefield and the late Sheila Palmitesta. She was the grandmother of Jason, James Jr., Gina, Ricky, Matthew, and Andrew. She is also survived by her great granddaughter Tiarra and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Saturday at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home in Stoneham.
