Ann M. Joyce, 90, of Stoneham died November 2 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Dorchester on September 2, 1919 she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Maguire. Ann resided with her husband John in Stoneham for the past 55 years.

She graduated Regis College in 1942 and continued her education at Boston College where she received her Master's Degree in Social Work.

She was a child welfare advocate and worked as Director of the Daycare Program for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston for over 30 years.

Family was first and foremost in Ann's life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished, above all, time spent with her family.

Ann leaves her husband, John F. Joyce, her children Marianne Liggio and her husband Raymond of Swampscott, Linda Sheehan and her husband Barry of Reading, John S. Joyce of Salem and Alanna Boyson and her husband Peter of Wakefield. She was the loving grandmother of Kathryn, Maura, Conor, Mark, John, Cara, Brendan, Jonathan and Patrick. Ann was predeceased by her brother William Maguire.

A funeral will be held from the McDonald- Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Stoneham.
