Ann Denbow

Ann L . Denbow , 77, of Wakefield and formerly Reading died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Wednesday, April 10th.

Born in Boston on April 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George L . and Anna (Higgins) Thistle.

Mrs. Denbow was a graduate of Malden High School, class of 1955. A resident of Wakefield since 1997, Ann was a member of the Wakefield Bowling League. She was an avid camper and loved playing cards. She had worked for both the Elmhurst Nursing Home and also for Sweetheart Plastics. She had also been a resident of Reading for 27 years.

Mrs. Denbow was the wife of the late Delbert P. Denbow . She was the mother of Stephen Carbone and his wife Katie, Everett Carbone and Kristen Bancroft and her husband David all of North Reading, Steven Denbow of ME, Dennis Denbow of Manchester, NH, Nancy Denbow of Lynn, Phil Denbow , Jr. and his wife Lynn of Hooksett, NH, Barbara Walsh and her husband Brian of Methuen and the late Michael Carbone. She was the sister of Peter Thistle of Rochester, NH and the late George and Jack Thistle. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield on Saturday at 2:30. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 12:00 o'clock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St. Reading, MA 01867.
