Ann Mercurio

Ann L. Mercurio, age 78 of Wakefield, formerly of Billerica, died on Friday, March 23 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.

She was born in Boston on July 19, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Marie (O'Brien) Lucey.

Ann was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of St. Clements High School, and went on to receive her MBA from Cambridge College. She was a longtime software consultant for SAP software, and later worked for Christopher J. Barrett Realtors. Ann had been a Wakefield resident for the past 24 years. She was an avid fan of her 3 grandchildren.

She was the loving mother of William V. Mercurio III and his wife Wendy of Wakefield and the late Janice E. Hasty and Stephen M. Mercurio. She was the sister of Daniel Lucey of Somerville, Mary Caulfield of Stoneham, Michael Lucey of WA, and the late Patricia Delcupolo. Ann was the loving grandmother of Nicole, Matthew, and Stephen Jr. She was the former wife of William V. Mercurio Jr. of North Andover.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday morning prior to the mass from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
