Lepore
, 98, a life long resident of Wakefield, died on Thursday, May 29 at her home.
Born in Wakefield on November 6, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Carmelia Cardillo.
Mrs. Lapore was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1927. She worked for over 20 years as a Quality Controller for Fraen Corp. in Wakefield. Mrs. Lapore enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and playing Bingo at the Wakefield Senior Center.
She was the wife of the late Joseph J.
Lepore
. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Hunt and her husband Walter of Stoneham, Barbara Roderick of Wakefield and Elaine MacDonald of Saugus and daughter-in-law, Christine
Lepore
of Melrose, She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Mrs.
Lepore
was predeceased by her son, Joseph P.
Lepore
and son-in-law Richard Roderick, four brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Angelo and Charles Cardillo and two sisters, Josephine Capuano and Mary Martorelli.
A funeral mass was celebrated in St. Joseph Church, Wakefield on Tuesday, June 3. Interment was at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Care, 100 Sylvan Road, Suite G-500, Woburn, MA 01801.
Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
