Anna M. Lucey, 67, of Saugus died suddenly Friday, August 26 with family by her side.
Born in Boston on January 13, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Sliman) Smith.
Anna was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Brighton High School. She then went on to attend Boston State where she took art classes, and also took the time to obtain her real estate license. Anna was best known as "The Slush Lady," selling Richie's Slush at Lake Quannapowitt for many years. Ann was a strong advocate for the protection of animals.
Anna is survived by her beloved husband Thomas F. Lucey, Sr. of Saugus; her adoring children: Thomas F. Lucey, Jr. and Maureen E. Lucey, both of Saugus; and her loving sisters, Diane and Eileen Smith, both of South Boston.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Interment to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
