Anne (DeCotiis), of Lexington, MA, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and Moonachie, NJ, on January 22nd. Married for 63 years to Eugene J. Foley. Mother of Thomas E. Foley and wife Marguerite of Groveland; Marianne F. Weichselbaum and husband Paul; and Eugene J.Foley, Jr. and wife Rhonda Black, all of Lexington; and Karen Foley of Stoneham. She was the last surviving child of Michael DeCotiis and Marie (Rainone) DeCottis; both from Panni, Italy, Mulberry Street New York, NY, and Moonachie, NJ. Sister of the late Joseph, Alphonse and Anthony De Cotiis, Theresa Piccolo and Lucille Fallaci. Also survived by eight grandchildren; Emily, Owen, Timothy, Allyson, Arielle, Matthew, Sarah and Arash; and two greatgrandchildren; Chloe and Malcolm.
Anne Lucille DeCotiis Foley was a family-centered, warm, funny, cultured, nurturing, quintessential "Italian mother" and a powerful, loving force of nature. She was a deeply religious woman, who loved everyone she met and was loved by everyone she met, and as described by her husband, "Could even talk to the devil". Anne leaves a treasured legacy that will be carried on through the generations: of love for family, God, laughter, the arts, books, food, wine and all things Italian.
Remembrances may be made to: Billerica Crossings Staff Fund, 20 Charnstaffe Lane Billerica, MA 01821.
