Anne C. Picone, 70, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, March 15 at her home, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Everett on August 3, 1940 she was the daughter of John F. Jr. and Frances C. (Nelson) Henderson.
Mrs. Picone was a graduate of Everett High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.
She spent her life caring for others. Among her great joys were cooking for gatherings of family and friends, spending time with the youngest generation of the family and welcoming people into her home. Mrs. Picone spent many years ensuring with devoted care that loved ones were able to stay home among family during lengthy illnesses.
Mrs. Picone was the wife of the late James N. Picone. She was the mother of Melinda Parry and her husband David of Wakefield, Pamela Turner and her husband Bret of Standish, ME, and Glenn Picone of Wakefield. She was the sister of John C. Henderson and his wife Louise of Pepperell and the sister- in-law of Mary Borges of Wakefield. She is also survived by her grandson Jordan Parry of Wakefield, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St., Wakefield on Sunday at 4 p.m. A period of visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 3-4 p.m.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
