Arthur Brown

Arthur W, Brown, 75, of Revere and a retired Wakefield Police officer, died on Wednesday April 3 in Beverly. He was the husband of Lisa A. (D'Alessandro) Brown.

Born in Malden on April 8, 1937 he was the son of Rita (Callahan) Carifio of Revere and the late Arthur W. Brown.

Mr. Brown was raised in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School. He also attended Lowell University. During the Korean Conflict he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had worked as a Registry Inspector and later was a member of the Wakefield Police Department.

Mr. Brown had been a Revere resident for 19 years and was a member of the Emerald Society of Boston.

He was the father of Timothy Brown and his wife Amy of Tewksbury, Lauran Brown of NC, Kevin Brown and his wife Kathy of NH and Michael Brown of Billerica. He was the brother of Jacqueline Aurigemma and her husband Alby of Revere, the late Richard Carifio and his wife Donna of Tewksbury, Sandy Blair of Groveland and Larry Brown and his wife Crystal of Boxford. He was the brother-in-law of John D'Alessandro and his wife Natalie, Tina LaPierre and her husband Ron and Nancy DiTullio. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Emily, Tyler, Joseph, Lorelei, Elizabeth, Lindsey, Madison, Noah, Caitlin and Ryan and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Tuesday at 9am followed by funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Monday 4-8pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
