Arthur Roberto, Sr.

Arthur J . Roberto , Sr . of Lynnfield and former Wakefield resident died Thursday March 17 at age 92. Born in Wakefield on September 21, 1918 the son of the late John & Mary (Santoro) Roberto . Mr. Roberto was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1936. He was a retired Supervisor from the Atlantic Gelatin Corporation of Woburn. He had been a Lynnfield resident since 1954 and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church of Lynnfield and the Crystal Community Club of Wakefield.

Mr. Roberto was the devoted husband of the late Anne (Serafini). He was the beloved father of John M. Roberto and his wife Helen of Lynnfield and the late Arthur J . Roberto , Jr. He was the brother of Nunzio Roberto of Boston, Elizabeth Steele of Newton, George and John Roberto , Jr. of Wakefield and the late Angelo Roberto and Augustino Cardavelli. He was the cherished Papa of John M. Roberto , Jr. & his wife Corinne and Beth H. Roberto & her husband Michael Allan and loving great grandfather to Jack Allan and Caden Roberto .


His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Monday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Maria Goretti Church 112 Chestnut St. Lynnfield at 10:00. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-5pm.
