Audrey Perry

Audrey E. Perry, 90, of Wakefield, formerly of Reading, died on Tuesday, September 10 at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford.

Born in Reading on October 6, 1922 she was the daughter of the late George and Fleda (Brown) Humphrey.

Mrs. Perry was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1940. She was retired from the New England Telephone Co. and had worked at the Reading office. . She had also worked at the W.T. Grant Store in Reading.

Mrs. Perry was a member of the Kosmos Club in Wakefield and the McCarthy Senior Center. She was active in bowling and loved traveling, knitting, reading and puzzles. She had many fond memories of her friends and neighbors and was also fond of her many cats.

Mrs. Perry was the wife of the late Arthur J. Perry. She was the mother of Arthur J. Perry of Jacksonville, FL and Thomas Perry and his wife Maria of Wakefield. She was the sister of Janice Henderson of Tewksbury, Bernice Saulnier of FL and the late Shirley Bowman, Doris McCauley, James, Robert, Ruth, Hubert and Gerald Humphrey.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion, St. Wakefield at 10 a.m. A Visitation for relative and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
