B. Alan Beaulieu, 71 of Dover, NH formerly of Wakefield died Tuesday October 19, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH.

Born in Old Town, Maine on October 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Dorothy (Sullivan) Beaulieu.

Alan was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He had been a Wakefield resident until 2005 when he moved to Dover, NH. Alan was a retired foreman with Amtrak Railroad and was with the Boston & Maine Railroad for many years. He enjoyed bowling, cribbage, playing cards and working on crossword puzzles.

Alan is survived by his wife Sylvia J. (Taibbi) Beaulieu of Wakefield, his 6 children; Susan Beaulieu of Wakefield, Cheryl Ryan and her husband Jack of Woburn, Pamela Lee and her husband David of Derry, NH, Melissa Leftin and her husband Edward of North Andover, James Beaulieu of Melrose, and Jeffrey Beaulieu of Katonan, NY and two brothers, Greg Beaulieu of Lynnfield and Brian Beaulieu of Rhode Island. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren; John, Michael, Elizabeth, Samantha, Alexa, Elysia, Shania, Michaela, Jessica, and Nicholas, and 2 great grandchildren; Donte and Kennedy. Alan was predeceased by his brother Peter Beaulieu.

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10:30am. A period of Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
