Barbara Whittier

Barbara A . Whittier , 76, of Lynnfield, died on Monday, June 15 at her home.

Born in Gardiner, Maine on June 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Madeleine (Hall) and Rhodulphus Allen.

Mrs. Whittier was raised in Augusta, Maine and was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1951. Mrs. Whittier was the retired Vice President of A&W Electronics in Medford. She was an active member of the Auxiliary American Legion Post 131 and she was also active in Lynnfield Little League.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whittier was predeceased by her husband Edward D. Whittier . She is survived by her four children, her daughter Micki W. Quinn of Merrimack, NH and her three sons, E. David and Charles A . of North Reading, and William G. of Brentwood, NH. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Katie, Sarah, Sabrina, and Morgan as well as her two great-grandchildren David and Mirabel.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at the family home at 303 Edgemere Rd., Lynnfield, Sunday, July 12 from 1-4pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers Ma 01923 would be appreciated. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
