Barbara Wishart

Barbara G . Wishart , 78, of Wakefield died on Sunday, October 7 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Bath, Maine on February 10, 1934 she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Hawkes) Greene.

Mrs. Wishart was a graduate of Morse High School in Bath, Maine. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 54 years. Mrs. Wishart was a 40 year member of the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital women's Auxiliary and a former member of the Wakefield YMCA Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield.

Mrs. Wishart is survived by her husband John G . Wishart , her son Scott Wishart and his wife Kara of Braintree and her two daughters; Ann Decker and her husband Dwight of Lynnfield and Albuquerque, New Mexico and Gay Neilson and her husband Paul of Denver, CO. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren; Katherine and Andrew Decker, Chris and peter Neilson and Michale and Meredith Wishart . Mrs. Wishart was predeceased by her two brothers; John and William Greene and her three sisters; Doris Syring, Eleanor Owen and Helen Greene.

A funeral service will be held in the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield on Saturday at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday from 4-8. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
