Barbara Jamieson

Barbara A . Jamieson , age 90, a longtime Stoneham resident, died peacefully Thursday, May 5th at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Franklin, MA on July 25, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Mary (Mimi) Morris and Henry Darling.

Barbara was a graduate of Charlestown High School, Class of 1949 and later of Middlesex Community College. She had been a longtime Stoneham resident before moving to Florida in 1985, but ultimately returned to her home in Stoneham. She was a member of the St. Patrick Parish of Stoneham and enjoyed golfing. She loved unconditionally and had an open door for anyone. She is remembered as Ma, Mom, Mommy, Babs Darling, Grammy Barb and Auntie B.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Donald G. Jamieson . She was the loving mother of John Dan Jamieson and his wife Sandra of Townsend, Donna McKenzie and her husband Gary of Lowell, Mary Beth Smith and her husband George of Rockport, Michael Jamieson and his wife Deborah of Washington D.C., Stephen Jamieson of Gloucester, Richard Jamieson of Stoneham, Judie Jamieson and her husband Freddy Kergo of Somerville, Barbara Gaziano and her husband Francis of Florida, and Timothy Jamieson and his wife Amy of Wilmington. She was the sister of Roberta DeCarlo of Charlestown and the late Francis and Audrey Darling and Jeanne Cann. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Thursday, May 12 at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham on Wednesday May 11 from 3-7pm. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
