Barbara Milne

Barbara A. Milne , 71, a longtime Lynnfield resident died Monday, April 21, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Winthrop on September 22, 1942 she was the daughter of George T. Rodes and the late Doris (Terrill) Rodes.

Barbara was a graduate of Winthrop High School, Class of 1960. She was a self employed Court Reporter for several local Attorneys and Court Reporting Companies, as well as the local Courts in the area. Barbara was an avid golfer; she loved traveling, reading, and enjoyed spending time on the beach.

Barbara was the wife of Robert S. Milne , Jr. She was the mother of Robert S. Milne , III, and his wife Helene of Hamilton, Jeffrey R. Milne and his wife Leslie of Lynnfield, Scott T. Milne and his wife Michelle of Kingston, Jennifer E. Forbes and her husband Alan of Rowley, and Betsey Y. Milne and her fiancé Kevin of Reading. She was and the sister of Terry Rodes of NJ, and Nancy Anderson of Lynnfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley, Hope, Lily, Ryan, Sophie, Madeline, Georgia, Chloe, Carolyn, Maxwell, Molly, Jake, Max, Zach, Luke, Taylor, and Mia and a great granddaughter Alaya.

Her Funeral service will be held at the Lynnfield Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield, on Friday at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
