Blanche Sands

Blanche C . Sands , 103, of Lynnfield, formerly of Wakefield, died on Saturday, October 8 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Lowell on December 12, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Stanley P. and Katherine (Poczatek) Cielakiewicz.

Mrs. Sands was a native of Lowell. She had been a long time Wakefield resident and a resident of Lynnfield for the past 16 years. Mrs. Sands was a former member of the Wakefield Arts Association and a member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Lynnfield.

She was the wife of the late Michael E. Sands . Mrs. Sands is survived by her daughter Peg Murphy and her husband Paul of Londonderry, NH formerly of Lynnfield and her three grandchildren; Paul Murphy, Jr. of Lynn, Colleen Murphy of Saugus and Sean Murphy of Beverly.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield at 10a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from
6-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
