Bruce Kenerson

Bruce E. Kenerson, 82, died Saturday, August 27th at his summer home in Cedarville, MA.

Born in Lynn and a longtime resident of Lynnfield, he was the beloved husband of the late Pauline "Polly" Howard Kenerson, father of Kathy Schultz of Lebanon, CT, Kris Winter of San Diego, CA and Everett Kenerson of Acton, MA, brother of Norma Holloway of Lynnfield, grandfather to Sarah, Grace, Tucker and Jack, and beloved son of the late Everett Kenerson and Gwendolyn (Crow) Kenerson.

He was a graduate of Lynn English and Norwich University, Class of 1951. He served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 and continued to serve his country as a reservist. Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Kenerson began working at McNichol & Taylor, a last manufacturer in Saugus, MA. He met Polly shortly after. They were married in 1956 and raised their three children in Lynnfield. Later, Mr. Kenerson worked as a real estate appraiser for over 30 years. He was actively involved in the Town of Lynnfield and other community and alumni organizations. He was a South Lynnfield Water Commissioner for 36 years, and the town's MWRA representative up until his retirement in 2011.

Mr. Kenerson enjoyed spending his summer's in Cedarville with his family and friends. He provided care for many people in his life and was always willing to help someone or be their advocate. He enjoyed the pleasures in life and overcame its challenges in his own way.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at the Lynnfield Community Church, 735 Salem St, Lynnfield at 10:30am. Interment will be at Willow Cemetery in Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bruce's name to the Norwich University Memorial Fund, 158 Harmon Dr. Northfield, VT 05663.
