Bunty Thakkar, full name Ashutosh Rajendra Thakkar, passed away on November 4th, 2012 at Melrose Wakefield Hospital at the age of 29. Born September 4, 1983 as a premature baby, his life was nothing short of spectacular. He was a 2000 graduate of Wakefield High School and went on to receive his bachelors' degree in Theatre and Dance from the University of New Hampshire in 2004. Throughout high school Bunty was actively involved in Wakefield by participating on the football, baseball, and track teams as well as being a member of the drama club. At UNH, Bunty was part of the UNH Dance Company as well as playing key parts in dozens of plays and musicals. Before graduating college Bunty accomplished many of dreams such as dancing at the Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. After graduating college Bunty decided to share his wealth of knowledge with others. He has been a coach at Wakefield High School since 2006 and helped both the football and dance programs. If you were not close to Bunty, you never would have known he lived a life full of illness because of the way he carried himself. The lives he impacted through coaching, dance, and performance are countless. Bunty was truly and inspiration to everyone that ever met him and he will live on through his family, friends, and the thousands of lives he impacted. Bunty's light will continue to shine after his passing, he will be missed, but never forgotten. We ask that you not mourn his passing, but celebrate his life, it's what he would've wanted.
Bunty was the son of Rajendra and Kashmira Thakkar and the brother of Sajan Thakkar of Wakefield.
