Camille Babine of Stoneham, formerly of Malden, and Nova Scotia, Canada died at his home on Monday August 25.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada he was the son of the late Esley and Emily (Jacquard) Babine .
Camille moved to the United States in 1963 and settled in Malden. He was retired from New England Metallurgical of Dorchester. Prior to moving to the states he worked for Ferry Aviation in Canada. Camille was an Accomplished Country & Western Singer and was featured on the radio in Nova Scotia. He also enjoyed gardening and his many bird houses.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Pitts) Babine , his six children; Yvonne Marr and her husband Robert of Nova Scotia, Richard Babin and his wife Kay of OK, Barry Babine and his wife Robin of Malden, Juanita Auffrey and husband her Richard of Stoneham, Marilyn Sponberg and her husband Donald of Saugus and Peter Babine and his wife Deborah of Malden and his brother Theodore Babine of Methuen. Mr. Babine is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday from 4-8pm.
Funeral services will be private.
