Camille Mazzoni

Camille Mazzoni , 75, of Malden and Portsmouth, Rhode Island died on Monday, August 1 at her residence.

Born in Boston on March 2, 1941 she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Silvestro) Consolino.

Ms. Mazzoni was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1958. She was also a graduate of Tufts University, Class of 1962 and had received her master's degree from Middlebury College in Education. Ms. Mazzoni had retired in 2002 after a 35-year career as a teacher in the Medford Public School System. Following her retirement, she continued teaching adults in several of the many foreign languages in which she was fluent. She was fond of world travel and loved foreign language as it would allow her to communicate with people around the world. She would love time spent with her grandchildren and watching the sunset over Naragansett Bay.

She is survived by her son Paul Mazzoni and his wife Cynthia of Belmont, daughter Cristina Palumbo and her husband Michael of Stoneham, her five grandchildren; Gabrielle, Micaela, Nicholas, Matthew and Mark, her former husband Renzo Mazzoni of Malden, her brother Richard Consolino of Medford and her two sisters; Joyce Gatta of Hudson and Linda Mendes of Gilford, NH. Ms. Mazzoni was predeceased by her two brothers; Joseph Consolino and James Consolino.

Her Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 73 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8pm.
