Elliott
, 91, a long time Wakefield resident, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 21.
Born in Richmond, ME on April 20, 1921 he was the son of the late Fred and Mabel (Bellows)
Elliott
.
Mr. Elliott's family moved to Wakefield when he was three years old. He was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1940 and continuing his schooling at Boston Trade School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 – 1945.
Carl
worked in the Boston Naval Shipyard for 26 years. Subsequently he worked at the General Electric in Lynn until he retired 1985.
Carl
was a frequent Blood Donor for the Red Cross – gave 11.5 Gallons. When he no longer could donate, he and his wife assisted the nurses on blood donor days in Wakefield.
Carl
was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, a deacon and a member of many committees. For several years, he was Scout Master of Troop 703 at the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church. He was an honorary member of (NARFE) National Association of Retired Federal Employees and also a member of the Wakefield Retired Men's Club and of the American Legion Post #63.

was the beloved husband of Josephine (Caiani)
Elliott
of 63 years. He was the father of Ernest
Elliott
and his wife Cathy of Boston, Lawrence
Elliott
and his wife Lori of Brookline and Sandra Story and her husband Lynn of Hopkinton.
Carl
had one grandson; Patrick Story of Natick. He also leaves his twin brother Carlton of Wakefield, his brother Richard of Andover and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, July 26 at the First Baptist Church in Wakefield at 11:00. A period of visitation will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield on Wednesday from 4 – 8 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to the V.N.A. Middlesex East Hospice, 607 North Ave, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
