Carl Manzella

Carl M. Mazella, a longtime Wakefield resident died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Stoneham.

Born in Melrose on August 14, 1939 he was the son of the late Michael and Pansy (Quinzio) Manzella.

Carl was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School and went on to graduate from Wentworth College. He was a retired Draftsman for Stone and Webster Engineering. Carl enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Unicorn Golf Club in Stoneham.

Carl is survived by his sister Diane G. Paone and her husband Peter of Malden. He is also survived by his three nephews: Peter, Jr., Michael and Paul Paone. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Manzella.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
