Carline Volpe

Carline F. Volpe, 83, of Stoneham and formerly Wakefield, passed away at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Melrose on Friday Aug. 20.

Born in Stoneham on July 29, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Carl and Julia (Nolan) Daly.

Mrs. Volpe was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in Stoneham and later graduated from the Carney School of Nursing in South Boston. She was a long time resident of Stoneham and had been a member of St. Patrick Parish. Carline was a retired Nurse at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and also the Kirkwood Nursing Home in Wakefield.

Mrs. Volpe was the wife of the late Dante C. Volpe. She was the mother of Julia Volpe and her husband Stephen Potter of Plano, TX, Carl F. Volpe of Oxnard, CA, and Richard D. Volpe and his wife Eleanor of Stoneham. Carline was the sister of Katherine Long of Lynnfield, and the late James E. Daly, and Alice M. Dunn. She was the grandmother of Sue, Janet, Brad, Dan, Patricia, and Carl. Mrs. Volpe was the great grandmother of Hannah and Brad Jr.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Tuesday, at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 – 8 P.M.

Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield
