Carol A. Paone, 81 of Wakefield died Saturday December 14, at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Somerville, August 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Harold and the late Florence (DiGloria) Pimental. Raised in Medford, Carol was a graduate of Medford High School class of 1962.
Carol worked many years in accounts payable at various local companies. She continued to further her education earning a certificate degree in accounting and obtaining her real estate license. She was a retired customer service representative for the MBTA.
Carol was a resident of Wakefield for over 50 years raising her family there. Carol was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She loved cooking for her family, hosting holidays, especially Christmas, and keeping her home beautiful and welcoming. Carol was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Wakefield and formerly worked in the rectory. She was also a volunteer at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital for many years.
Carol was the loving mother of Lisa Hart and her husband Michael of Wakefield and Mark Paone and his wife Rokia of Danvers. She was the devoted Grammy to Courtney Hart, Kevin Hart, Cameron Hart, Max Paone and Madelyn Paone. Carol was the former wife of the late John Paone Jr. She was the sister of Mary Jean DeAngelis and her late husband Steven of Reading, Elaine Nadile and her husband Joseph of Plymouth and her brother-in-law James Thys of Medford. Additionally, Carol leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her brother Francis Pimental and her sister Lorraine Thys.
Carol’s Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday December 18, at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 10-11:30 a.m.
Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
