Carole Hammersley

Carole F . (Cutillo) Hammersley , age 85 of Saugus died on Friday, September 28th at her residence.

She was born in Boston on August 24, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette (D'Ortona) Cutillo.

Carole was raised in Malden and educated in the Malden Public School System. She enjoyed buying homes and restoring them, interior design, and spending time with her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard D. Hammersley . She was the loving mother of Richard Hammersley Jr. and his wife Theresa of Dedham, Alan Hammersley and his wife Lisa of Lynnfield, and Darlene Hammersley-Bayer of Nyack, NY. Carole was the sister of June Gentile and Norma Bromley, both of Florida, and the late Theresa Mazzarello. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Evan, Jeffrey, Kelsey, Kaylee, and Jackson.

Carole's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11am at Our Lady of Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem Streets, Lynnfield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday prior to the funeral from 9:00-10:30am. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 510 St. Jude Pl., Memphis TN 38501.
