Caroline Mulloy

Caroline J . Mulloy , 78, a Wakefield resident for 42 years, died Monday August 9 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Boston on December 24, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ann E. (Mahoney) Carnes.

Raised in Dorchester, Mrs. Mulloy was a graduate of St. Gregory's High School in Dorchester and the Carney Hospital School or Nursing and worked many years in nursing. She was active in Senior Citizen activities and the Women's Bowling League.

Caroline was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Mulloy . She was the mother of Barbara A. Kelly and her husband Kevin of Reading, Richard Mulloy and his wife Nanci of Woburn, Nancy Monahan and her husband Brian of Bedford, and Robert Mulloy , Jr. Grandmother of Brian, Meg, Ricky, Nicholas, Erin, Abby, Aidan, and Audrey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. Interment at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
