Carolyn Sullivan

Carolyn G. Sullivan, age 82, of Wakefield passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24 at her residence.

Born in Malden on September 8, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Raymond Francis and Gertrude C. (Sullivan) Mooney.

Mrs. Sullivan was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Girls Catholic. In 1963 Carolyn met Peter A. Sullivan, the two married in 1965 and started their family in Newburyport before moving the family to Wakefield in 1974, where they have since remained. Carolyn very much enjoyed day trips with her husband and grandchildren to local destinations. She also loved getting her family together on Saint Patrick's Day to decorate and sing Irish songs. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield.

She was the beloved wife of Peter A. Sullivan. She was the loving mother of Kevin G. Sullivan and his wife Bridget of Lynnfield, Kerry A. Angelo and her husband Mark of Newtown Square, PA, and Kelly M. Girotti and her husband William of Wakefield. She was the sister of Patricia Sanford of Hookset, NH, Raymond Mooney of Wilmington, and Elaine Murphy of Saugus. She was the cherished grandmother of Cameron and Tim Sullivan, Brooks Angelo, and Erin and Molly Girotti. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Tuesday, May 3 at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
