Catherine Cerrone, 99, of Wakefield died on Thursday, January 14 at the Meadow View Care & Rehab Center in North Reading.

Born in East Boston on December 8, 1910 she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Jenny (Sinagra) Lumia.

Mrs. Cerrone was raised and educated in East Boston. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 60's years. Mrs. Cerrone was a retired sales clerk at Filenes's in Boston and was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield.

Mrs. Cerrone was the wife of the late Peter Cerrone. She is survived by her tow sons; Paul Cerrone and his wife Linda of North Reading and Peter Cerrone and his wife Joan of Peabody, his sister Doris DiGiamarino of Wakefield, her 7 greandchildren; Nicholas, Natalie, Olivia, Ashley, Deborah, Michelle and Christopher. Mrs. Cerrone is also survived by her 4 great grandchildren. She was a predeceased by her daughter Patricia Heim, her four brothers; James Lumia, Joseph Lumia, John Capone and Vito "Pete" Capone and her four sisters; Margaret Capone, Carmela Picillo, Josephine Muollo and Susan Joyce.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 19th at St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St, in Wakefield at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation, 400 North Main St, Randolph, MA 02368.
