Catherine A. DeFelice, 95, of Wakefield passed away on Monday, December 17 at the Winchester Hospital with her family at her side.

Born in Wakefield on August 9, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Julia (White) Wylan.

Catherine was a life long resident of Wakefield, where she was a homemaker. She attended St. Florence Parish for the past 50 years, where she was a member of The Lady's Sodality and a former Sunday school teacher.

Catherine was the loving wife of the late Fred DeFelice. She was the loving mother of Sandy of Wakefield, Cheryl of Dracut, Robert of Lawrence, Judy and her husband Harvey of Wakefield, and David and his wife Kathy of Peabody. She was the dear sister of the late John Whalen. She was the loving grandmother of Tracy, Dawn, Katie, Jim and step-granddaughter Amy and loving great grandmother of Shane, Deyon and Tianna.

A Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 100, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
