Catherine Pearson

Catherine Pearson , 97, a Wakefield resident since 1954 died Wednesday May 14, at the Woodbriar of Wilmington.

Born in Boston on February 5, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Mary E. (Gleason) Pearson .

Catherine was a graduate of Everett High School and also The Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. She retired in 1977 as an Office Manager for AT&T. Catherine was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield and a former member of both the Bear Hill Golf Club of Stoneham and the Garden Club.

She is survived by her cousins, John Maguire and his wife Ann of Wakefield, Eleanor Maguire and David Armstrong of Pepperell, and Richard and Michael McGuire of Washington.

A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10:00A.M. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday prior to the mass from 8:30 - 9:30 A.M.

Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
