Cecelia Cagnina

Cecelia Cagnina , long-time resident of Lynnfield, MA and current resident of Middleton, MA passed in peace surrounded by her loved ones, and went on to be with the Lord on April 3, 2019.

Cecelia was born in Boston, MA and was the loving wife of Jerome R. Cagnina . She was the daughter of Haviland James and Ellen (Killen) Rich. Cecelia met her husband Jerry when she was 20 years old and they married shorty after he returned from serving in the US Navy. Cecelia graduated from St Mary's Annunciation High School in Cambridge, MA, Burdett College of Business and the Institute of Stenotype, in Boston, MA. Cecelia spent many years as a legal secretary and paralegal to Robert Romero, partner at the law firm Corliss and Romero in Boston, MA. A devout Christian and parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield, MA,, Cecelia's faith, joy, warmth, sweet kindness, grace, compassion, gentleness, patience, and unconditional love will be her legacy along with her children, grand children and great-grandchildren whom she considered her biggest accomplishments along with 63 wonderful years of marriage to Jerry. Cecelia was a woman chasing God's own heart.

Cecelia was the beloved mother of Jill Buckley, Kim Miller and her husband Robert, and Jeffrey Cagnina and his fiancé Tanya Vestal. She was the cherished sister of Eleanor Quigley. Clare Keenan, Mable Shelley, the late Mildred Finn, and the late James Rich. Cecelia was adored by her grandchildren Tammy D'Agostino and her husband Jeffrey, Nancy Scanlon and her husband Sean, Lindsey Miller, Jeffrey Cagnina Jr., Brent Buckley, Cecelia Buckley, Elizabeth Keith and her husband Adam, and William Cagnina . She was blessed to love and be loved by six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Abigail, Sarah, Evelyn, and Vincent. She was an adored aunt by many nieces and nephews.

Cecelia wanted her funeral service to represent a celebration of her life and her strong belief in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield, MA Monday April 8th, 2019 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Mass and Funeral Service to be Tuesday April 9th at the funeral home at 10 a.m followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church 17 Grove St, Lynnfield, MA 01940 at 11 a.m.. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
