Charles Alden

Charles E. Alden, 71, of Wakefield died Monday, May 26 in Wakefield.

Born in Winchester on April 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Marion E. (Daland) Alden.

Mr. Alden was a native of Wakefield and graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1961, and later attended Northeastern University. He served in the U.S Army National Guard of Massachusetts. Mr. Alden worked for many years for the Northland Industrial Truck Company, NITCO of Wilmington. He retired as a Systems Sales Manager.

Mr. Alden is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Jane A. (Larkin) Alden. He was the loving father of Charles E. Alden, Jr. and wife Maria, Michael Alden and wife Jennifer and Lynne Alden Vitiello and husband Ralph. He is also survived by his grandchildren Thomas, Joseph, Mikayla and Christopher Alden and Gabrielle and Jacqueline Vitiello.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Thursday from 4-8 pm. Funeral and interment services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Alden's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
