Sr., 95, of Wakefield died Monday, September 15 at the Harborside Nursing Home in Wakefield.
Born in Revere on April 20, 1913 he was the son of the late William N. and Lillian C. (Hartly)
Finlay
.
Mr. Finaly had been a Wakefield resident since 1951. He had worked as a truck driver for McQuesten Lumber Company in East Boston and had retired from the Wakefield D.P.W. Water Department. Mr.
Finlay
was a member of the West Side Social Club, Wakefield K of C, Wakefield Lions Club and St. Joseph Parish. He had served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.

Finlay
was the husband of the late Ruth (Cronin) Finaly. He is survived by his son

Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Wakefield and his two grandchildren;
Charles
and Shannon.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Charity Fund, P.O. Box 432, Wakefield MA 01880.
