Charles Modica

Charles C. Modica, 91, of Wakefield died Saturday, December 10 at his residence.

Born in Boston On September 23, 1920 he was the son of the late Michele and Josephine (Ciacera) Modica

Mr. Modica was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1939. He was a retired supervisor for Verizon. Mr. Modica was a World War II and Korean War Navy Veteran.

He was the husband of the late Barbara (Parsons) Modica and the father of the late Robert C. Modica. Mr. Modica is survived by his brother Michael Modica and his wife Alice of Reading, his sister Concetta "Connie" Venuti of CA and his long time companion Doris Surette of Winchester. Also survived by his nieces and nephews; Charles Cardillo, Ruth Conklin, Janis Maines, Joan Flynn, David Modica, Bryan Modica, Ellen Howland, Beth Modica, Michael Modica, Gail Logan, Marsha Marotta, Jaye Venuti and the late Richard Modica. Charles was predeceased by is brother John Modica and his sister Mary Cardillo.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 9am. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
